Trained as a pastry chef after 35 years in global public health, Shelley Smith launched her microbakery Bleu Belly Bakes to meet your need for homemade baked goods for yourself and family/friends.
Our Story
After baking for family and friends since I was a child, I decided to take my passion to a new level. Leaving my first career of 35 years in Global Public Health in 2024, I pursued a diploma in pastry arts.
Graduating in mid-2025, I've taken the plunge and set up Bleu Belly Bakes. The name honors my 16 year old dog, Bleu, and my mother's nickname for me, "Shelley Belly". I focus on quality ingredients and proven baking techniques to create delicious baked goods of all kinds.
